... LIKE TEARS IN THE RAIN.

'Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave.' Sorry, bloggers, about the sad title and these cryptic words. I'm sure you remember Nexus 6's last words. Now we're going a step further in our debate on robot ethics: What do you think about replicant's 'forced retirement'? Considering these robots are not designed under Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics, do you find it fair to apply them this 'four year life span' device for human protection?

And this is for BAT-2 students: as agreed in our last meeting, state your opinion briefly and list a minimum of three arguments supporting it.

In my opinion it's a good idea to retire the robots and limite his life for this reasons:

- If robots don't fulfill the Three Laws they can do a lot of damage.
- The robots of this film are very strong and they are more dangerous than humans.
- A robot always will be a machine and it must be retired.

I agree that robots need to retire, and have a limited life time.

-Tecnology improves really fast, so, maybe a 10 year old robot has nothing to do with an actual robot

-If robots really have feelings, they can have also be tired of working. If they have been working for lots of years, they can be retired

-If robots don't retire, maybe there will be overpopulation of robots in a few years.

I think that replicants should be retired. For this reasons:

-This tipes of robots are superior than humans and this is very dangerous.

-They can kill people because don't have Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics.

-They are only robots, and if they are unnecessary for humanity they shuold be retired.

In my opinion, robots must have limited his life.

- The humans are very imperfect, so his creations too, therefore if there is any mistake in their operation, must "to die" as a precaution measure.

- The robots like machines that are, must get update. Because they can become not useful for the society.

- The current robots don't have feelings,so they can have a limited life by the human beings.

In my opinion the robots have been retired, because for this reasons:

- They never have feelings and I think that they can hurt the humans.

- If the robots have feelings, there robots are in conflict with the 3 laws.

- Everything that begins has to end and the robots must be retired.

In my opinión, I think that is fair that the robots have a limited life span for three reasons:

- If robots don’t have a limited life, they would can to make others laws best for them.

-If robots don’t have a limited life, they wouldn’t never die and they would can destroy all the humans because they are more strong than humans.

- If robots don’t have a limited life, they would can to make a lot of robots and they manipulate the world.

In my opinion it's a bad idea to robot have a limited life span.

-It's true that technology advances but it's possible to be updating them.

-If you create a being, don't kill it because as we saw in the film, they have fear and worries too.

-And respect to the three laws, people don't have laws either and we're free to do something or not.

I think that it's correct to retire the replicants.

- The robots can have mistakes and they can damage to humans.

- If the robots live eternally, they would replace to humanity.

- The humans create to the robots and they have right to destroy them when they want.

I agree that robots should have limited time life but I disagree with the Retirement of a robot.

- First of all, the robot shouldn’t be created if there is possibility that it can create dangerous situations for humans.
- Secondly, a robot shouldn’t live a lot, especially when he learns things like feelings.
- Finally, the robot should have his death (not retirement), when his lifetime has over.

I agree that robots should not have a very long life:

- A robot should be created for only one function... for example repare cars.

- A robot shouldn't have a very long life for not learn to rebelling.

- A robot shouldn't be free and his life has to end when her boss wants.

In my opinion i Think that it's the best solucion to retire the robots because:

~robots can be very problematics if they can decide what to do every moment.

~the can had a revolution and be the next lords of the world and submite humans.

~if we only create and create they can be so much as we,so this is bad for ourselfs.
